This is just the beginning.

She lives!

This has been quite the blogging hiatus but in the face of radical changes, I seem to only be able to handle one world at a time and so, the virtual one had to take a step back for me to step on my feet as solidly as possible.

What’s changed? I can feel my lips spread into a smile as I write this. A lot. A lot has changed. 2016 was good to me. So good I don’t dare dwelling on it too much by fear 2017 takes it away.

Several months ago, I wrote a post on the wind of change and it seems I was right. 2016 was the year of change. I changed countries twice and after 6 months in Paris, I now live and work in Verona, Italy. One romantic city after another. I changed jobs, chased old dreams and embraced new career paths. I made resolute steps towards a Masters degree. Bold steps that now have me yearning for a new life across the pond. Other aspects of my life changed too, the kind I don’t like covering on my blog but at the same time, the kind that is so hard NOT to because, well, I’m happy. Happier than I’ve been in a long time and that is not something I want to keep to myself.

When I look back and read my 101 Things To Do In 1001 Days list, I marvel at how far I’ve come. Many entries are no longer relevant because of how sharp a turn my life has taken this past year but still. I know when to be grateful and when to be proud and right now, I’m undoubtedly both.

Wow I just reread myself and realised I sound so secretive. Why do I always sound so secretive? Perhaps it is because I don’t want this to sound like just another diary entry. Or perhaps it is because it is impossible to sum it all up in one post.

This is just the beginning of a long-awaited return (or re-return if you get the reference). I want to do more with this blog. More book reviews. More fiction prompts. More experiments. More travel writing. More music. More of everything that makes me who I am… which is currently nothing short of excited.
